PRESQUE ISLE: Holland P. Belanger, 69, passed away Nov. 8, 2011, at a local hospital, after an extended illness. He was born in Hartford, Conn., on Nov. 22, 1941, the son of Holland G. and Lucy (Marino) Belanger.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Holland worked for Pinkham Lumber Co for 25 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and being with his bird dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Russell) Belanger of Presque Isle; a son, Matthew Belanger of Tyler, TX; a daughter, Sarah Thibodeau of Presque Isle; four grandchildren: Shawn and John Belanger, Madison Thibodeau, and Briana Devoe.
