    EASTON – Mallard E. Ireland, 72, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012, at the Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill. He was born November 30, 1939, in Easton, the son of Raleigh and Rachel (Greene) Ireland.

    Mallard attended Easton schools and then worked for area farmers for many years.

    He is survived by his wife, Flora (Skidgel) Ireland of Easton; two daughters, Cheryl (Ireland) Wessel and her husband, Bruce of Delphos, OH, and Susan (Ireland ) Dyer and her husband, Russell of Westfield; four sons: Keith Ireland and his wife, Leslie of Spring City, TN, Robert Ireland of Easton, Kevin Ireland of Cripple Creek, CO, and Randy Ireland of Lima, OH; as well as six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
