TWEEDIE, James “Jamie” Henry, Jr., 59, WINTERPORT & MARS HILL, at Brewer, February 18, 2012. Spring interment will be at Pierce Cemetery, Mars Hill. Arrangements in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Homes, Presque Isle.

    WINTERPORT & MARS HILL – James “Jamie” Henry Tweedie Jr., 59, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Brewer Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Presque Isle on October 9, 1952, the oldest son of James Henry Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” Edwina (Hersey) Tweedie.

    After graduating from Central Aroostook High School in 1970, Jamie went on to have a long career in transportation logistics. He was an avid sports enthusiast especially with a great fondness for all Boston teams.

    He is survived by his father, James, Sr.; and step-mother, Marie Tweedie of Robinson; two sons, James H. Tweedie III of Old Orchard Beach, and Tyler Baham of Denham Springs, Louisiana; two daughters, Jessica Harding of Easton, and India Tweedie of Winterport. He also leaves behind six precious grandchildren, Toria, Alanah, Elijah, Isla, Jaxon and Evie; a sister, Patricia McCrum and her husband, David of Mars Hill; two brothers, Michael Tweedie and his wife, Susan, Joseph Tweedie and his wife, Julie, all of Robinson; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; his two dogs, ”Bridget” and “Bob”, which were his faithful companions.

    Predeceasing him into the kingdom of heaven and waiting to greet him was his beloved mother and very special brother, Tim.

    Friends called 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church,  Parish of the Precious Blood, Mars Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Raymond Morency celebrant. Spring interment will be at Pierce Cemetery, Mars Hill. Donations may be made in his memory to Kennedy & Krieger Foundation, 707 North Broadway Baltimore, MD 21205.
