Vincent, Laura M., 93, February 19, 2012. Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton. HOULTON – Laura Madalyn Vincent, 93, died February 19, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. She was born January 25, 1919 in Guilford, the daughter of Manson and Maude (Maseruy) Prescott.
Madalyn was a member of the Houlton First Baptist Church and was a teacher at Ricker Classical Institute until they became Ricker College. She continued to teach at Central Aroostook High School until her retirement in 1986. Madalyn was a member of the Maine Teachers Association and the National Teachers Association.
She enjoyed square dancing with her husband John and the Pomanders.
Madalyn is survived by two sons, Ross Vincent and his wife, Rose, of Austin, TX, Lawrence Vincent of Houlton; foster daughter, Greta Madore and her husband, Bud of Utica, NY; five grandchildren, Kellan Rogers Vincent, Aaron John “AJ” Vincent, Erin Jayne Vincent, Michelle and René; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Hichborn of FL, Lois Russell of FL; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John A. Vincent, Jr. in 2008.
