to compete in Texas

    SAN ANTONIO — Brittany Bearden and Casey Bonville, both of Presque Isle, will represent Maine in the Miss Collegiate America and Miss High School America pageants in San Antonio, Texas Friday and Saturday.

    Brittany Bearden  is a junior in the athletic training program at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She has focused her year as Miss Collegiate Maine on promoting healthy lifestyles through the 5-2-1-0 program with appearances at schools and organizations throughout the state. A major project Bearden was involved with was leading 350 elementary students and staff members in a flash mob performance for the national All Children Exercise Simultaneously events. She is the daughter of Monica Bearden of Presque Isle and Jeff Bearden of Georgia.

Casey Bonville,

  a senior at Presque Isle High School, is a member of Skills USA, Future Business Leaders of America and National Honor Society. After graduation Bonville plans on attending the University of Maine at Fort Kent to major in business management. She is the daughter of Sandra and Fred Bonville Jr. of Presque Isle.
