Local harp group raises money for Myocarditis

HOULTON — Kindred Harps, a local harp group started in 2007, recently presented $1,500 to the Logan Sweet Foundation, which supports research in and awareness of Pediatric Viral Myocarditis. Receiving the check is member, Dale Holden of Houlton, on behalf of her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jon Sweet, who started the foundation in memory of their son, Logan. Logan Sweet died of Viral Myocarditis in May of 2008, at age 6.
In September 2011, with the production assistance of Brian McMann, Kindred Harps made a CD, Butterfly Dreams, featuring lullabies and gentle music, to sell as a fundraiser for this cause. There are still a few CDs available and information about them and the Logan Sweet Foundation is available at www.logansweetfoundation.com.
