    Mitchell, Clark E., 87, October 18, 2012.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home.  Interment held in the Oakfield Cemetery.
    PT Clark MitchellOAKFIELD – Clark E. Mitchell, 87, husband of Ruth A. Mitchell, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Oct. 18, 2012, with his loved ones by his side. He was born March 13, 1925, in Merrill, the son of Virgil and Lydia (Moore) Mitchell Sr.
    Clark attended Merrill schools and graduated from Faith School of Theology, Old Orchard Beach. He served in the National Guard and was a longtime member of Bethel Pentecostal Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and chairman of the church board for many years.
    Clark was an accomplished bulldozer operator for 61 years, starting with Tiel Botting and ending with Steelstone Industries of Houlton. The family says thank you to Blake McQuade and Grady Tidd of Steelstone Industries for their kindness to Dad throughout the years.
    Clark is survived by his wife and longtime love of 69 years, Ruth (White); daughter, Jeanette Campbell and her husband, Dwayne, of Oakfield; son, Clark “Skip” E. Mitchell Jr. and his wife, Linda, of West Virginia; daughters, Dale Willett and her husband, LeRoy H., and Lynda Williams and her husband, Sterling, all of Oakfield; son, Mark Mitchell and his wife, Donna, of Connecticut; grandchildren, Lisa and Charles Thompson, Sheri and Michael Robin-son, all of West Virginia, LeRoy D. and Mary Beth Willett of Bradley, Crystal and Brent Stover of Oakfield, Nichole and Joshua Crandall of Oakfield, Kelleigh and David Rogozinski of Connecticut; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph “Bud” Mitchell and his wife, Lucile, Bob Mitchell, Lyle Mitchell and Kurt Fanjoy; sisters, Carol Carabetta and Debbie Fox; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Gloria “Sis” Russell; and brothers, Virgil “June” Mitchell Jr. and Gary Mitchell.
    Clark’s family thanks Dr. Hrynick for his many years of caring for Clark and Houlton Regional Hospital personal care facility and all the staff members for their loving care, and also to all that visited Clark during his illness. Another special thank you to Pastor Sterling for the many hours he spent with Clark and the family.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Oakfield, where funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday with the Revs. Sterling Lawrence and Dwayne Campbell officiating.
