    HOULTON – Ruth Velzora MacDonald, 93, died Oct. 21, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. She was born July 19, 1919 at Monticello, the daughter of George and Verla (Crouse) Grass.
    Ruth was a lifetime member of the Rebekahs. She taught ceramics at the Houlton Rec for many years.
    Ruth is survived by her children, Wayne MacDonald of Houlton, Douglas MacDonald of Oakfield, Eldora Atkinson and her husband, John, of Debec, NB, Canada, Susan Carmichael and her husband, Jeff, of Houlton; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Garold.
    Friends called Tuesday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
