Wrong man for veteran committee
To the editor:
I read in your paper that Rep. Robert Saucier will serve on the Veteran and Legal Affairs Committee. Is this because he served in the National Guard?
Speaking as a combat veteran, I feel Rep. Saucier is not the man for this position. We need a veteran who knows what the veterans and families go through during deployments. We need someone who has gone into harm’s way and “looked the tiger in the eye.”
We don’t need someone who has stayed at home with our loved ones while we went. We need a veteran who has served.
