A transmission line fault is believed to be the cause of a power outage in central Aroostook County over the weekend.
“A Maine Public Service Company crew investigated a power outage that affected about 1,000 customers in Mars Hill, Blaine and parts of Bridgewater around 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9,” said Susan Faloon, Susan Faloon, communications director for Bangor Hydro Electric.
Service was restored by early afternoon.
“Line workers worked to restore power as quickly and safely as possible,” said Faloon. “Anyone using alternate heat and power sources are reminded to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines.”
Customers may report outages or ask questions by calling the Customer Service Center at 877-655-4448.
