HOULTON, Maine — The town’s fire chief has been selected as the president of the Aroostook County Fire Chief’s Association during the group’s annual meeting in St. Agatha on April 20.
As president of the association, Cone said his duties will be to provide information on new developments in fire prevention and all matters pertaining to new regulations to all fire chiefs in Aroostook County.
Other officers named at the meeting were: Gerard Castonguay, St. Agatha, first vice president; Darrell Wilson, Mars Hill, second vice president; and Adam Rider, Presque Isle, secretary/treasurer.
The past president is Darren Woods of the North Lakes Fire Department. Named director for the North division was Ed Endee of Fort Kent, while Don Bouley, Ashland, was chosen as the central director and Jeremy York was picked for the southern director.
