Hello everyone. Hope you all are enjoying these nice summer days.
Sylvia Thompson has returned from Massachusetts where she went for a burial for an aunt. We were sorry to learn of the fall of Norma Bates, near her apartment. Norma is hospitalized. Get better fast, Norma. We miss you.

It is hard to believe we are so near the Fourth of July. Have you made any plans?
I was sorry to learn two of my classmates of Calais Academy, 1940 died within two weeks. May they rest in peace. You could hear the music Saturday night coming from the community room on the third floor. They were having a good time following a potluck supper. I was sorry I missed it, due to other commitments.
I enjoyed a nice band concert, the second of the season. Especially enjoyed the trombone selection with six trombones and with some younger generation. Key Bank supplied us with red balloons and popsicles. Thank you.
Marc Blanchette is looking for photos of St. Mary’s Church pipe organ that burned in the church fire in 1958 and photos of any priests and Sisters of Mercy who served St. Mary’s School and Madigan Hospital. Do you have or know of anyone who has pictures of the construction of the church? Photos will be returned. Marc’s telephone number is 532-2548. Thank you.
Gary Keyes was a passenger in his relative’s vehicle when it was involved in an accident recently. Gary suffered a concussion and was a patient at Houlton Regional Hospital briefly. Gary, hope the concussion has subsided and you feel your old self again.
On the subject of angels—Angels are everyday wonders. They are reminders to us that life is not just what we see and touch, what we define and explain. Life is also invisible friends and protectors who stand by us to the end.
I happened to be watching Channel 11 recently when Paul McGillicuddy was part of a Grain store story, also Dorothy Campbell’s name was in the line of credits.
Have a wonderful week, full of joy and good health.
