Houlton Adult Education announces spring term, new HiSET Test

RSU 29/70 Adult Education announced that its spring term begins next week. The registration deadline for spring classes is Monday, March 17.

College Transitions classes begin Tuesday, March 18, at 5:30 p.m. In order to accommodate working adults who want to prepare for college in the fall, most spring College Transitions classes will be available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
On Monday, March 24, the high school completion spring term will begin with the Career Pathways orientation. High school completion classes will be available during the day, Monday through Thursday and Monday and Wednesday evenings. Students will be able to determine their best high school completion path — credits or the HiSET High School Equivalency Test. The HiSET has replaced the GED in the state of Maine, but it is still available at no charge to Maine residents and has the same transferability as the GED.
