Region Two students win silver medals

Region Two School of Applied Technology sent 12 competitors to the SkillsUSA State competition, on March 14, at the United Technology Center and Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor.

Five more Region Two students attended as observers. Region Two Instructors also contributed to the Competitions as Judges for the Employment Application Process and the Green Technologies Competitions, in which no Region Two students participated.

This is the third year that Region Two has sent competitors to their student organization’s State Competition. SkillsUSA was formerly known as VICA and Region Two Contest Coordinator.

Bo Zabierek, said “We are thrilled to again have our students competing against students from all the Career and Technical Education (CTE) schools across the state!”

State Gold Medalists compete to represent Maine at the SkillsUSA National competition in Kansas City, Missouri on the last week in June.
