Pet rescue full, not accepting new cats

CARIBOU — Officials with the Halfway Home Pet Rescue recently announced that due to their high number of adoptable cats and kittens, they have stopped accepting rescued animals.

President of the Halfway Home Pet Rescue Norma Milton explained that the shelter currently has a high population of loving and healthy kittens and young adult cats and will not be taking in new kittens or cats until October 1 or until most of the current feline population has been adopted.
Milton explained that persons with an immediate need for help with a cat during this time should call their local police station or community contracted animal shelter.
Adoption opportunities at the pet rescue will continue by appointment only, which can be arranged by calling 999-1075.
