Myrtle Tree
Where can you find “The County’s Garden Destination” and a great selection of unique treasures? Myrtle Tree Farm/Ravenswood, located at 368 Fort Fairfield Rd., Presque Isle.
Myrtle Tree, owned by Donna and C.K. Keegan, has 23 years in the nursery and garden business.
“We knew you could plant perennials all season, some even better planted in fall. So we set out to make available plants and information to help gardeners enjoy adding to their gardens all season,” said Donna Keegan.
At Myrtle Tree, you’ll find quality plants for garden and landscape, a great variety of perennials — including field-dug, herbs, specialty annuals, small fruits, vines, roses, lilacs, shrubbery, fruit trees, crab apples and specimen trees, moss baskets, wall hangings, afternoon teas and workshops, garden consultation and landscaping services.
“We offer knowledgeable service, display gardens designed to inspire,” said Keegan. The nursery’s open May 1 to mid-October. Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. FMI, call 764-4980, visit www.myrtletreefarm.com or look for Myrtle Tree Farm on Facebook.
Ravenswood
Ravenswood Gifts and Antiques, a specialty gift shop, opened May 2011 by Debi Ames, is now in its fourth season.
“At Ravenswood, you’ll find unique treasures for home, camp, cottage and garden that you’d never find in ‘big box’ stores,” explained Ames.
“Ravenswood offers a variety of New England-made products: baskets, wind chimes and Maine-made wares including North Country Wind Bells, wreaths, birdhouses and twig furniture. The garden section has bird baths, planters and garden décor. I have stained glass windows, lamps, frames and keepsake boxes by Meyda, Tiffany and J. Devlin,” said Ames.
“We have accent furniture, framed art, novelty signs and seasonal decor, a specialty food section, along with jewelry — a large percentage USA-made,” said Ames.
Customers are greeted by warm lighting, soft music, appealing fragrances and wonderful products in an inviting atmosphere.
