James School hosts July 4 festivities

The James School, located at 125 Niles Road in Presque Isle, will host a reading of the Declaration of Independence at noon by Kim Smith from the Presque Isle Historical Society. Molly the Trolley will be at the Riverside Pavilion at 11:30 for rides to the school at no cost.

There will be brownie a la mode available — 4th of July style — for a donation toward the school’s upkeep. Richard Rand will have his old ford truck parked for picture taking. Bell ringing and a brief reading of the school’s history will also take place. The school will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome! The public is invited to come and enjoy this historic American holiday.
