Area students named to Colby College dean’s list

WATERVILLE, Maine — Area students were named to the Dean’s List at Colby College in Waterville, for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2016-17 year. Students earned a semester grade point average of 3.77 or higher this spring to be included on Colby’s highly selective dean’s Llist.

John L. Freeman of Presque Isle, a member of the Class of 2019, attended Presque Isle High School and is the son of Stephen Freeman and Jayne Farrin of Presque Isle. He majored in economics-mathematics with a concentration in financial markets.

Samuel W. Gray of Presque Isle, a member of the Class of 2020, attended Presque Isle High School and is the son of Sarah Ellsworth of Presque Isle, and Brian Gray of Presque Isle. He majored in psychology with a neuroscience concentration.
