CARIBOU, Maine – Gary E. Malenfant, 71, died unexpectedly on December 18, 2017, at his Caribou residence. He was born in Caribou on October 30, 1946, the son of the late Eldage and Priscilla (Belanger) Malenfant.

He was a graduate of Caribou High School and served with the US Army National Guard in Caribou for several years. He married Nancy Guerrette on December 27, 1969. He was a lifelong member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and in 1995 did his Cursillo. Mr. Malenfant was employed as a printer at Northeast Publishing for many years and also owned and operated Custom Printers in Caribou for a number of years.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Caribou are his children, Kirk Malenfant of Caribou; Suzette Pelletier and husband, Troy, of Brewer; and Kristie Lagasse and husband, Keith, of Hubert, NC; five grandchildren, Peyton and Logan Pelletier, Ben, Isabella, and Luke Lagasse; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Marie Malenfant, North Pole, AK, William and Mary Jean Malenfant of Sebastian, FL, Robert and Elaine Malenfant, and Gregory and Karen Malenfant, all of Caribou; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Patricia and Helston Jackson, and Joyce Johnston all of Caribou; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017, until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
