Peaceful protests continue in Houlton despite snow

Despite Wednesday’s massive snowstorm, seven individuals ventured out to Houlton’s “Peace Pole” at 10 a.m. to spend 17 minutes in a peaceful demonstration. The 17 minutes signified one minute for each student/teacher killed in the Parkland, Florida, shooting on Feb. 14. Shown taking part in Wednesday’s demonstration are, from left, Marilyn Roper, Diane Hines, Sharon Callan Bodenstab with her son, Brenda Wright, and Rev. Dale Holden.  (Courtesy of Cindy Callnan)
