LIMESTONE, Maine — Annette F. Johndro, 95, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at St. Jospeh’s Memory Care in Frenchville, Maine. She was born in Grand Falls, NB, the daughter of Cyprien and Alice (Gagnon) Godbout. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Johndro who passed away on February 3, 1981.

Annette was a lifelong Limestone resident and devoted member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was in the Ladies of St. Anne, having earned her 50 year membership and the daughter of Isabella.

In her earlier years she worked in an ammunition factory in Brownsburg, Quebec, during WWII, then returned to Grand Falls to work in the grocery store until she married and moved to Limestone. She was a homemaker and excellent seamstress, quilter and knitter.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Stephen and Marcia from Rockport, ME, Adriel and Laurie from Fort Worth, TX; a daughter, Michealla Cote and her husband, Galen, from Presque Isle, Maine; two brothers, Reno and Bertin Godbout from Grand Falls, NB; seven grandchildren, Heather, Leslie, Kevin, Kenneth, Carrie, Nathan, and Patrick; as well as nine great-grandchildren, Justin, Camden, Aden, Kaitlyn, Spencer, James “JT”, Cleo, Drew, and Cohen. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Leonie Dube, and Ita Rioux, two brothers, Phillip and Real Godbout, and a granddaughter, Rolande Johndro.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 9, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Louis Catholic Church in Limestone. Interment followed at St. Louis Cemetery.
