Holiday activities abound in Easton

The Easton Elementary Christmas program will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. in the school gym.  There will be performances by the Elementary Band, Elementary Chorus and Grade 4 Recorders; in addition to the entire school presenting a Christmas Musical.  

Bears sweatshirts

The Easton Recreation Department recently sold pre-ordered sweatshirts.  The orders are all in and should be picked up at the Easton Town Office.

Senior happenings

On Thursday, Dec. 20, at the West Ridge Manor we’ll celebrate with a Christmas fondue party starting at 11 a.m. Cost is $5.

Calendars are here

The 2019 Community Calendars have been received, please stop by the Town Office to pick up your copy (copies).  No pre-purchase required. They make great Christmas gifts.

Vacation Rec activities

On Friday, Dec. 21, we will be going on a horse-drawn wagon ride at Maple Meadow Farms.  There will be hot chocolate and& cookies served and participants will make an ornament. The cost is $10.

Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Eemail recreation@eastonme.com to reserve your spot.  Participants will be responsible for payment for all reserved spots.

Bus leaves Easton Elementary at 12 and returns to school by 2:45.  Dress appropriately.

On Wednesday, Dec. 26, we will go to Presque Isle for lunch at the Pizza Hut buffet and then skating.  The fee is $12 for skating and buffet.

Please be sure your child is wearing socks. Time: 11:45-3:15; depart and return from/to the Rec. Center.

On Thursday, Dec. 27, we will go to Mars Hill for snow tubing at Big Rock, weather permitting, for an afternoon of sliding.  The cost is $15 for tubing, pizza and soda. Please be sure children are dressed appropriately for conditions. It’s going to be a long afternoon if cold or  wet. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Time of the trip is 12:40-4:15; depart and return from/to the Rec. Center.

On Friday, Dec. 28, we will go to a movie at the Caribou Theatres. The cost will be $6 for ticket, popcorn and soda.  Concessions will be available for purchase. Time: 9-12:30; depart and return from/to the Rec. Center.
