Rep. Stewart optimistic about finding common ground

To the editor:

I would like thank the people of Presque Isle for re-electing me to another two-year term in the Maine Legislature. I pledge to work even harder and smarter on your behalf.

Since the election, I humbly report that my Republican House colleagues have selected me to serve as their assistant leader. This opportunity will give me an even stronger voice for Aroostook County. It also means that there will be two Aroostook County legislators in leadership positions.

I congratulate Sen. Troy Jackson for being elected president of the Maine Senate and look forward to working with him, whenever possible, on issues of importance to The County and Maine. I begin the year optimistic that some common ground can be found to benefit all of Maine.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with suggestions, questions or constituent matters that my office can assist you with.

Rep. Harold “Trey” Stewart III

Presque Isle
