New building Mr. John G. Chadwick, contractor, who is erecting the new Carnegie building for the new Cary Library, is making steady progress with the work. The marble tile floor has been laid in the entrance and the carpenters are now busily at work putting on the interior finish. At the end of each reading room is a large open fireplace which gives to the room a very homelike and attractive appearance. The floors in the stack-room and reading rooms will be of maple. The walls and ceiling are being tinted in water colors and harmonize with the interior finish. When the building is completed it will be a gem and one of which our townspeople may be proud and a credit to the builder, Mr. Chadwick.
