Cub Scout Carter Brown communicates on Ham radio with operator Dave Berry. Scout Pack 171 celebrated Jamboree-on-the-Air, the largest Scouting event in the world, on Sunday, Oct. 18.
It is held annually on the third full weekend in October. The jamboree uses amateur radio to link Scouts and hams around the world, around the nation and around local communities.
