Black Hawks honor hockey seniors in final home game

HOULTON, Maine — Hockey seniors on the Houlton-Hodgdon Black Hawks were honored in a special pre-game ceremony Friday, Feb. 19, before the team took the ice for their final home game against Hampden Academy.

Goalie Elijah Matheson, defender Caydon Cambell and forward Victoria Forbush were honored before the game in a short ceremony. 

Once the two teams took the ice however, the game was dominated by Hampden Academy, who went on to win by a score of 8-0. 

Parker Shawley and John Vickery had two goals apiece for the Broncos, Other scores for Hampden came from Colin McKay, Keith Brocks and Eli Wilson. 

In addition to being heavily outnumbered in shots on goal, the Black Hawks also incurred several penalties that enabled Hampden Academy to capitalize on power plays.
