Wildcat hockey splits weekend games

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle hockey squad was busy on the ice over the weekend, first hosting John Bapst Friday, before traveling to Bangor Saturday.

Presque Isle skated to a 5-1 win over John Bapst thanks to goals from Garrett Letourneau, Ethan Carlisle, Quinn Demerchant, Jonah Roy and Dawson Kinney.

Brandon Poitras faced 18 shots in net for the Wildcats.

On Saturday, the team had a 1-0 lead after the first half, as Dawson Kinney scored a goal with an assist from Cameron Levasseur. Bangor scored three unanswered goals in the second half to win the game 3-1. 

Poitras faced 22 shots in the loss.
