From the Bunkers, April 16, 2021

Hello members and friends, spring is here and the course is getting ready to open soon!  Our course weathered very well over the winter.

The grounds crew, headed by our new superintendent Jason Renaud, has been hard at work getting the course in tiptop shape.  Work to the bunkers all around the course is slated to start soon, which will improve not only the appearance of the course but the playability as well. The greens will be high on our priority list this year, and there is already a regiment in place to get them looking beautiful.

If all goes well, we plan to have the golf course and clubhouse open on Monday April 19, we will have limited hours in the beginning 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year we have introduced a new six-pay program for everyone wanting to become a member, you can now spread your membership fee over six months.  Inquire at the clubhouse, or www.houltongolf.com, for more information.

Golf for Life is happening once again, with the help of Dave Grant.  This instructive golf program is for all adults who have never been a member of HCGC.  The five sessions will take place between the driving range and golf course.  This is a great way to be introduced to the game of golf, grab a friend or two and make it a group thing!  If interested call Dave at 207-538-8333 soon as these spots do fill up fast.

The Lakeside Restaurant is coming back again this year, and we welcome back Chef Bill and Nancy. They plan to be open Mother’s Day weekend starting on Friday May 7. Please call 207-694-9494 to make a reservation, they will not last long and this will be a meal you will not want to miss!
