“Our Seniors really stepped up today. Their leadership has been outstanding from the get go.” said Coach Mark Faulkingham.

Hodgdon improved to 4-1, while Ashland fell to 0-3.

Southern Aroostook 4, Katahdin 0 — At Dyer Brook May 9 in the first game of a 5-inning doubleheader, Southern Aroostook’s Maddie Russell pitched a two-hit shutout, with 12 strikeouts. SA scored three in the first, taking advantage of walks and wild pitches.

Katahdin scored five runs in the first on four hits and three walks and took advantage of some shaky SA defense, Warrior coach Paul Sherman said.
