Summer fun

The Presque Isle Police Department is happy to see all our citizens enjoying the summer.

We’d like to take the opportunity to remind folks of some tips for summer safety.

Enjoy your journeys to vacation spots. Remember road safety and patience as you travel — no road rage.

Check on your elderly neighbors, especially during very hot days.

Don’t leave your pets or children in hot cars. Always check before you exit your car,  because it can very quickly become extremely hot — and deadly — inside.

If on waterways, remember personal floatation devices. We want everyone to come home safely.

Be aware of signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke.

Remember your sunscreen, especially for the kiddos and those who may be “follically challenged.”

Enjoy all the wonderful attractions Maine has to offer, to include local events. Have fun and stay safe!
