Aroostook House of Comfort’s 12th Annual Golf Classic raises $90,000

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Aroostook Hospice Foundation proudly hosted its 12th Annual Golf Classic on Saturday, June 14 at the Presque Isle Country Club, raising approximately $90,000 in support of the Aroostook House of Comfort. This achievement was made possible through the generous support of 166 sponsors, 42 teams, 42 raffle and prize donors, 14 in kind donors and 32 volunteers who came together to make the day a success.

Special thanks go to Platinum Sponsor the Logan P. Graves Foundation for a $10,000 contribution, along with all who helped bring this meaningful event to life. Since opening in 2018, the Aroostook House of Comfort has provided inpatient hospice care to over 1,000  patients across northern Maine and beyond in partnership with Northern Light Home Care & Hospice.

Funds raised through the Golf Classic help sustain operations and ensure access to Charity Care, which supports patients and families who are underinsured, uninsured or without financial means. The continued generosity of the community allows them to maintain a  9,800-square foot, state-of-the-art facility, where individuals and their families receive compassionate care, dignity and support along their hospice journey.

“I believe our friends, neighbors and loved ones here in Aroostook County feel a genuine connection to the House of Comfort,” said Abbey  Clair, executive director of the Aroostook Hospice Foundation. “They understand how essential it is to ensure this care remains available  for generations to come — and their support of events like the Golf Classic is a clear reflection of that belief.”

The Aroostook Hospice Foundation, owner of the Aroostook House of Comfort, extends heartfelt gratitude to every sponsor, donor,  participant and volunteer. They look forward to seeing everyone at the 13th Annual Golf Classic!
