Presque Isle’s Wintergreen Arts Center is seeking a new executive director to succeed Dottie Hutchins, who has served as the arts center’s executive director since 2016.

“Wintergreen is soon to celebrate 20 years of operation,” said Hutchins. “I am grateful for being a part of the past 10 of those amazing years. Wintergreen is a special place with remarkable, hardworking and creative teachers and students.”

In 2026 Wintergreen celebrates two decades of stimulating creativity and curiosity through the arts in Aroostook County. The center’s dedicated, talented team has grown programming to include a creative preschool, outdoor learning for ages 0-5, afterschool and summer arts programs for grades K-8, age-specific workshops for youth and adults, signature events for family members of all ages and community gallery showings.

Hutchins plans to travel and write. She especially loves camping and exploring the southwestern region of the United States. She will stay connected with Wintergreen as a volunteer for the arts center.

“Wintergreen has a strong, engaged board of directors,” said Hutchins. “Several members have served many years on the board and have literally watched our students grow up. Together, they are committed to advancing Wintergreen’s mission and look forward to the next chapter for Wintergreen.”
