Katahdin Trust Company has announced a $20,000 donation to the Town of Madawaska in support of its new Bicentennial Park initiative.
This significant contribution underscores Katahdin Trust’s continued commitment to investing in the surrounding towns it serves and enriching the lives of local residents.
The Bicentennial Park, a signature component of Madawaska’s revitalization efforts, is being developed as a vibrant public space honoring the towns rich heritage while creating new opportunities for community connection, recreation, and celebration.
“Supporting projects that strengthen our area and bring people together is at the heart of our mission,” said Craig Staples, vice president, commercial and municipal services officer. “We’re excited to play a part in bringing this transformative project to life for Madawaska.”
Construction on the park is set to begin later this summer, with key features including green gathering areas, walking paths, interpretive signage, and spaces for cultural events and town celebrations.
