NorState Federal Credit Union is now accepting applications for eight $1,000 scholarships to be awarded to graduating high school seniors throughout Aroostook and northern Penobscot counties.
Scholarship applications are available online at norstatefcu.org or from their school guidance offices.
“Supporting our young members goes beyond banking,” said Danielle Hebert, NorState FCU director of community engagement. “By offering these scholarships, NorState FCU hopes to ease the financial burden of higher education while encouraging our young members to pursue their goals.”
To be eligible, applicants must be active members of NorState Federal Credit Union with their own individual account, be accepted to an accredited institution of higher education, and attend a high school in Aroostook or northern Penobscot counties.
The application deadline is May 1 and scholarships will be awarded in June.
