The Worthington Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce that more than 1,000 Maine high school graduates have received the 2026 Worthington Scholarship.
Founded by Beverly and the late David Worthington, the scholarships empowers Maine students not only to begin college, but to succeed and graduate. Each recipient will receive up to $20,000 to attend one of the Worthington Scholarship Foundation’s 24 partner colleges in Maine, representing a total investment of $20 million in this year’s cohort.
County honorees are Ashland District School: Ryder Carney, Caiden Condon, Carter Craig, Callie Cullins, Emma Doughty, Dawson Jandreau and Cayleigh Smith.
Caribou High School: Liv Adams, Maggie Bell, Owen Corrigan, Lillian Demar, Charles Farley, Heather Gustin, Brynne Hamilton, Jadyn Holmes, Dimitri Kern, Meagan Martin, Nolan Mattila, Tamara Moreau, Charlotte Plourde, Jameson Tateishi-Ouellette, Madison Thibault and Logan Wing.
Central Aroostook Junior Senior High School: Kiah Albert, Harleigh Allen, Isabelle Anthony, Abigail Howlett, Victoria McCrum and Destiny Wood.

In addition to financial support, each scholar is paired with a scholar advocate who connects them with on-campus resources and provides support throughout college.
“Our scholars show the resilience and determination that reflects the very spirit of Maine,” Beverly Worthington said. “Supporting such brilliant Maine students over the past 16 years has been an honor, and I look forward to following this year’s scholars throughout their college journeys. There is no doubt these scholars will be the driving force behind Maine’s economic growth.”
