FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — The Fort Fairfield Economic Development Corporation is inviting businesses, nonprofit organizations, community groups, individuals and other qualified entities to submit proposals for its Community Investment Grant Program, an initiative designed to support projects that create meaningful economic, community and quality-of-life benefits for the people of Fort Fairfield.
With approximately $250,000 available to assist with local projects, the program represents a significant opportunity to invest in ideas that can help strengthen the community, expand economic opportunities and build a stronger future for Fort Fairfield.
“Strong communities are built through investment, innovation and a willingness to turn good ideas into action,” Timothy Goff, FFEDC board member, said. “The Community Investment Grant Program is an opportunity to help make those ideas possible and to invest directly in projects that can make a lasting difference for the people of Fort Fairfield.”
Eligible proposals may include business start-ups or expansions, investments that create or retain jobs, housing improvements or development, community facilities and programs, infrastructure projects and other initiatives that demonstrate a substantial benefit to Fort Fairfield residents.
The FFEDC encourages applicants to think broadly about how their ideas could contribute to the community’s future. Projects may address economic development, employment, housing, community vitality, quality of life or other needs and opportunities that can help enhance the livability of Fort Fairfield. Through strategic investments in people, businesses, properties and community initiatives, the program seeks to help turn local ideas into tangible results.
Applicants may request up to the full $250,000. Grants are competitive, and submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Proposals will be evaluated based on their potential impact on the community and benefit to Fort Fairfield and its residents.
Applications will be accepted until Nov. 20. All eligible submissions will be reviewed by the FFEDC with funding awarded to selected proposals in early 2027.
