Employees at Machias Savings Bank in Houlton are kicking off their End Summer Hunger food drive, which runs now through the first week of July. Without access to school meals, more than 60,000 Maine children will be hungry this summer. Help prevent hunger and summertime learning loss by bringing your nonperishable food donations to 138 North Street; collections will be gifted to Houlton Area Backpacks for Kids for distribution in the local community.
