    MAPLETON, Maine – This year’s 17th annual Mapleton Daze Weekend was held June 28-July 1.
When Mapleton Daze first started, it consisted of a chicken barbecue and the alumni banquet. Over the years, it has grown to include one of the region’s largest parades, dozens of activities for children and families, a car show, dances and an ATV poker run.

   A fun, family activity for people of all ages, winners of this year’s various activities and contests include:
Bike/Wagon Winners
Boys Wagon (for 4 year old and under, donated by Mapleton ATV Club): Kyle DiLorenzo-Bailey.
Girls Wagon (for 4 year old and under, donated by Mapleton Daze Committee): Natalie Carney.
Boys Bike (Age 5 to 7 years old, donated by Star City Sanitation): Alexander Wood.
Girls Bike (Age 5 to 7 years old, donated by Aroosta Cast Inc.): Taylor Fletcher.
Boys Bike (Age 8 to 12 years old, donated by Smythe’s IGA Plus): Jacob O’Berry.
