Aroostook Tennis, a youth tennis organization based in Presque Isle, will host a clinic as part of Maine’s Rally Against Cancer.
The clinic will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
The cost is $30 per player. All interested players are welcome, said Aroostook Tennis founder Luke Korzekwa.
The event will feature fun games and drills for all ages, and a 1-point tournament will be held at the end of the event, Korzekwa said.
Proceeds will benefit the Dempsey Center, a Maine cancer treatment organization founded by actor Patrick Demsey to bring no-cost care to cancer patients. The organization has facilities in Lewiston, Westbrook and Portland.
Rally Against Cancer is a series of tennis tournaments and other events around the state. Its goal is to unite the tennis community to raise funds for groups benefiting people diagnosed with cancer. The rally also benefits the Cancer Cafe in Camden.
