Largo, Florida – Jason Louis Guerrette, sometimes called Jay for short went to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 19, 2009 in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He was 25 years old. He was born May 28, 1983 in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
Jason was the only son of Terry and Lena Guerrette of Largo, Florida. Terry, formerly of Caribou and Lena, formerly of Fort Fairfield.
Although his time with us was suddenly shortened, he left a mark on everyone’s heart that
came into his path in life. Even if he only knew you a short time he was blessed with a gift
of connecting with people, showing them unconditional love and acceptance and making them laugh if they were sad.
He was a 2001 graduate of Osceola High School, Seminole, Florida. He was athletic played soccer 14 years, was on the High School Swim Team. He loved nature, camping, fishing and enjoyed family camping trips his whole life. He especially enjoyed our
family vacations in Maine. He loved the beach and often enjoyed laying on the beach with his sister.
He was very involved through his teen years with choir and drama at our church. Some of his last jobs were teacher assistant where he worked with disabled children. He also was an assistant in the Athletic Department.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Ashley Guerrette, Largo, Florida, his sister Bobby Jo Peffers, Saint Petersburg, Florida, his grandmother Bea Guerrette, Pinellas
Park, Florida, a special sister like friend Katie Smith, Tampa, Florida, friends, a large extended family across the United States.
A memorial service was held Feb. 24, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, Largo, Florida with officiating Pastor Scott Harris. There will also be a memorial service held this summer/fall in Maine with details to follow. Jason memories will be held in our hearts until we see him again in heaven.
