PRESQUE ISLE – Irene E. Currier, 88, died Monday night March 16, 2009, at The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. She was born in Fort Kent on June 30, 1920, the daughter of Fred and Maude (Saucier) Paradis. 
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Presque Isle. She enjoyed spending time with family, knitting, and watching sports especially the Red Sox. Irene was always willing to help others in need.
She is survived by her companion of 42 years, Rene Poliquin of Presque Isle; a daughter, Linda Morgan of Cotulla, TX; two sons, Robert Currier of Naugatuck, CT and Fred Currier of Stratford, CT; two sisters, Frances Thomas and Delores Michaud, both of Presque Isle; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
