July 1 marked the end of the consolidation effort between the two schools, but that ending does not come without an unexpected price tag for SAD 70.

The Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club, (NMATC), will host their sixth annual “Memorial Tractor Trek,” on Saturday, July 13, in the central Aroostook area. This year’s trek will start at 9:30 a.m. in Fort Fairfield from the Phil and Tami Kilcollins Farm, on the Center Limestone Road. Registration is at 8:30 a.m.
BREWER — More than 150 boys and girls from Aroostook County battled rainy conditions on July 2 to compete in the state finals of the Hershey Youth Track and Field Program. When the meet ended, the local delegation captured nearly 75 percent of all the top-four place finishes to dominate the competition.
