Snow club prepares for new season
The Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club held its pilot and crew pancake breakfast in August during the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest. The breakfast was overwhelmingly successful with an overflowing clubhouse. The club thanks everyone who attended.
Family marks five generations
Family get-togethers are always special events enjoyed by everyone. The Donald Turner family recently had a get-together and discovered members from five generations were present. Everyone gathered around Donald Turner, who is the senior member of the family.

Lions close holiday season
As they have done for the last 30 years — and in minus-2-degree weather this year — the Mapleton Lions Club officially closed the holiday season for 2017 this past Sunday as they took down the Christmas lights.
