PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Two men escaped injuries Wednesday morning when they collided at the intersection of Route 10 and Conant Road, according to Presque Isle Police Officer Kyle White.

White, along with Presque Isle Fire and Ambulance, responded to the scene around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Mike Michaud, age 22 of Presque Isle, was driving west in a 2018 Chevy Equinox when James Reed, age 56 of Wade, was heading east in a 2015 Toyota Tacoma and failed to yield the right of way to Michaud, White said.

The accident totalled both vehicles and tow trucks removed them from the scene, White said. Both men were wearing seatbelts and their airbags deployed, White added.

Michaud was uninjured, White said. Reed suffered minor injuries, and medical personnel provided treatment and released him at the scene, White said.
