Chamber announces new opportunities for home-based businesses

The staff and board of the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce proudly announces a new membership opportunity for micro-businesses in our Central Aroostook Area. “For the purposes of the CACC’s Micro Business Membership category, a mico-business is defined as a hobby/crafter home-based business, lacking storefront visibility, usually showcasing in craft fairs and farmer’s markets. This category does not have paid employees,” states, Executive Director, LaNiece Sirois. The cost for this membership is $75 annually. By purchasing the annual membership, the micro-business will receive the following benefits:

— Use of conference room for business meetings with conference phone capability.

— 25% off of Constant Contact’s powerful and easy tools.

— Your business listing on the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce website a valued member of your local Chamber.

— Extra home-page ad option on our site for $20 or $30 per month depending upon the size of the ad.

— Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce (CACC) Presents on WAGM, 40 TV advertising spots. The Chamber defrays the cost by $60 and endorses your business.

— For $20 annually, choose to have your directory listing enhanced on our Website. This includes all needed business information with photos.

— Cost savings using our bulk mailing permit.

— In response to inquiries, your business(es) will be referred first as a member.

— Display availability of your promotional materials in our Kiosk(s) and on our Facebook page.

— Hyperlinks from our page to your webpage.

— Listed in our printed directory, 1200 copy distribution.

— Publications and advertising opportunities in our newsletter, on our Facebook page. For an extra $25, email blasts to all members.

— Ribbon cuttings for your new business, or new service or expansion you’d like to celebrate.

— Opportunity to be featured on Saturday Business Spotlight.

— Letter of support can be offered from the Chamber when needed.

— Customer Service Award eligible.

— The prospect of having an employee serve on the Board of Directors and/or volunteer allowing your name and face to be involved in community events and programs. This gives your company an edge of community involvement.
