Wildcat icemen beat out Blackhawks in Tuesday game

HOULTON, Maine — The Presque Isle High School Wildcat hockey team traveled to Houlton on Dec. 10 for a match against the Houlton-Hodgdon Blackhawks.

After jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first period, the ’Cats kept up the momentum to notch a 10-3 win.

According to Presque Isle Coach Carl Flynn, Colby Carlisle contributed two goals and five assists for Presque Isle, Connor Demerchant chimed in with three goals and four assists and Gage Letourneau added three goals and three assists. Jonah Roy had one goal, as did Dawson Kinney, who scored his first high school hockey goal. 

For the Blackhawks, Jason Collett, Logan Swallow and Josh McGillicuddy all scored goals. 

In the goalie net for Houlton-Hodgdon was Elijah Matheson, with Brandon Poitras and Bryce Bonville n that position for Presque Isle. Shots were 39-18 in favor of Presque Isle.
