Goodyear, Barbara Marshall, 60, died February 5, 2007 at Perham. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Presque Isle Congregational Church, Presque Isle. A memorial service will follow on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, Ellsworth. Arrangements are in the care of Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.     PERHAM and ELLSWORTH –  Barbara Marshall Goodyear, 60, died February 5, 2007 at her home in Perham after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 14, 1946 in Ellsworth, the daughter of Paul P. and Marian (Cunningham) Marshall.
    Barbara graduated form Ellsworth High School in 1965. She continued her education with community college courses in Dental Radiology and Real Estate. After beginning her family Barbara became an educational aide at the Dr. Charles C. Knowlton School and went on to become secretary to the principal for nearly ten years. She then worked as a dental radiologist and secretary with Dr. Walter H. Dickes, DDs in Ellsworth. After earning her real estate license, she worked as a realtor with Knowles Real Estate in Ellsworth. She continued her real estate career when she moved to Perham, worked first with Mahoney Real Estate and later with REMAX Central Real Estate. Both in Ellsworth and Perham, Barbara was active in her community. She was a member of the Ellsworth Players in the 1970s, performing in productions including Fiddler on the Roof, The Music Man, and Guys and Dolls. She returned to Ellsworth this past summer to celebrate the 30th Anniversary production of Fiddler. She served seven years on the Ellsworth School Board, was on the original J.U.M.P. playground committee, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Ellsworth Historical Society, Aroostook Council of Realtors, EHS Alumni Association, Perham Ladies Club, Hummock Pond Shuckers & Pluckers, and Bowlin-Matagamon Snowmobile Club. She was past president of the Washington/Hancock Board of Realtors, Chairman of the Perham Planning Board, past chair of the Realtor Affordable Housing Foundation, and a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church in Ellsworth where she sang in the choir for many years. She enjoyed many seasons at camp and loved spending time outdoors gardening, canoeing, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, and hiking.
    She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Goodyear of Perham, her aunt Margaret Cunningham of Ellsworth, five daughters, Ruth Dunbar and husband Mark of Ellsworth, Heidi Sachs and husband Justin of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Kristi Powitsky and husband John of Pearland, Texas, Susan DeLong and husband William of Durham, Cullen Concannon and husband Matthew of Cape Elizabeth; grandchildren Hanna Sachs, Connor & Cullen Powitsky, Benjamin Delong, Evan & Kathyrn Concannon; step-grandchildren Paul & Joshua Dunbar of Orland, Lauren & Katherine Delong of Severn, Maryland; brothers Charles Marshall and wife Mary of Franklin, Jonathan Marshall and wife Patricia of Ellsworth. She will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends including her faithful and loving golden retriever, Bees.
    Barbara’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Presque Isle Congregational Church, Church Street, Presque Isle. A memorial service will follow on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, Church Street, Ellsworth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cary Medical Center Oncology Unit, 163 Van Buren Road, Ste. 1, Caribou, ME 04736 or the EHS Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, c/o Rebecca Sargent, The Union Trust Co., P.O.
