Mapleton – Gertrude L. Beaulieu, 79, died February 1, 2007 at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born March 30, 1927 in Ashland, the daughter of Jessie and Eliza (McHatten) Watt.
Gertrude was a member of the Creasey Ridge Club. Her life was her family and she worked hard keeping her home comfortable for those she loved.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Herbert “Sonny” Watt. Surviving her is her husband of 61 years, Edward P. Beaulieu of Mapleton; three sons, Douglas E. Beaulieu and his wife Bonnie of Washburn, Dana E. Beaulieu and his wife Denise and Brian D. Beaulieu all of Presque Isle; a brother, Richard Watt of Castle Hill; a sister, Ruth Wood of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Karlyn Williams and her husband Seth, Kara Beaulieu, Karson Beaulieu, Raquel Beaulieu, Danna Beaulieu, Amanda Beaulieu and Chelsea Beaulieu; 1 great-grandchild, Delaney Williams and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service was held Saturday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle. An online guest book is provided at www.duncan-graves.com.
