Atoms take tourney

The Atoms hockey team scored 40 goals while allowing only three as they earned four wins in a weekend tournament in Houlton over the weekend.
The first game featured a 13-0 win over Carleton 1. Scoring for Presque Isle were Mikey Michaud with four, Tyler Seeley with three and Ryder Soucy, Colin McKay and Joseph Patenaude with two each.
   Assists came from Levesque with two and Austin Albert, Patenaude, Soucy, Seeley, Aaron Kofstad, Mikey Michaud, Alex Michaud and McKay with one each.
Jillian Flynn took goal-tending duties for Presque Isle and Mikey Michaud was named player of the game.
In the second game, Presque Isle took a 6-0 win over Bangor. Scoring for the Wildcats were Mikey Michaud and Patenaude with two each and McKay and Alex Michaud with one each.
Assists came from Seeley, Albert, Soucy, Mikey Michaud, Patenaude, Levesque, Abraham Azab and Alex Michaud, all with one each. Aaron Kofstad played between the pipes and was named player of the game.
Game three proved another easy 9-1 win over Houlton for Presque Isle. Goals came from Soucy with three, Seeley and Mikey Michaud with two each and Alex Michaud and McKay with one each.
Assists came from Patenaude, Seeley and Levesque with two each and Soucy and Albert with one each. Kofstad played in goal and Alex Michaud earned player-of-the-game honors.
Sunday’s semifinal round was another route for the Wildcats as they earned their way to the finals with a 9-1 win over Bangor. Scoring for Presque Isle was Alex Michaud with three, Seeley and Levesque with two each and Soucy and Azab with one each.
Assists came from Seeley and Albert with three each and Levesque, Azab, Patenaude, McKay and Mikey Michaud with one each. Jillian Flynn played in the net and Soucy was named player of the game.
The final game against Houlton proved the toughest of the weekend but the Wildcats pulled out a 3-1 win.
Goals came from Seeley with two and Mikey Michaud with one with assists by Alex Michaud with two and Levesque ns McKay with one each. Kofstad played in net and Seeley earned player-of-the-game honors. Flynn and Kofstad faced a combined 48 shots over the weekend.
