CARY — The municipal building project will be up for discussion at Cary’s March 31 town meeting.
Groundwork for a new town office was started last year, and First Assessor Tim McGary said voters will decide at town meeting what funds they’d like to appropriate for the project in the coming year. If funds allow, McGary said he’s hoping to see a building shell constructed in the coming year.
Voters will also consider a municipal budget that’s roughly the same as last year — around $90,000. The budget is up some due to general increases in fuel and road maintenance, added McGary.
During the meeting, nominations will be accepted for one 3-year term as assessor. Incumbent for this seat is Pat Royal.
Cary Plantation will gather for town meeting on Monday, March 31 at 7 p.m. at Hodgdon High School.
